Steve
Founder
At Active Mind & Body, everything begins with people. The work is rooted in decades of real-life experience listening, supporting, and helping individuals improve their health, confidence, and overall wellbeing. Now working as Head of Nutrition, Wellbeing and Dementia for a leading care charity, the founder created Active Mind & Body CIC to share that knowledge more widely and make a positive difference in the community, inspired by the stories, challenges, and triumphs of the people they have supported. With more than 30 years of experience across hospitality, nutrition, care, dementia, and exercise for older adults, the founder brings a broad and practical perspective to wellbeing. From working as an Executive Head Chef in London’s corporate catering sector, to moving into the care sector as a Catering Manager, Home Manager, Peripatetic Manager and Area Support Manager, this experience has shaped a strong understanding of both physical and emotional wellbeing. Specialist expertise in dementia care, combined with qualifications in personal training for older adults and collaboration with respected professionals in nutrition, elderly care, mental health, psychotherapy, and psychology, underpins a whole-person approach built around helping people stay strong, independent, and well for longer.
